She`s developed an series of sculptural drawings which she calls “Paper Drawings”. This is an extension of her previous classical drawing practice and through them she`s exploring and challenging the concept of drawing. From previously having a traditional approach to the field, she is now work with drawing as a concept and way of thinking versus a specific technique. By creating a displacement of the paper in the act of drawing, she describes her work to be abstract, site specific, procedural sculptural drawings. She is drawing with the paper instead of on it.
After graduating her MFA in 2012 she`s participated in many solo-and groupshows, and also been given several grants. Beside her own practice Roland is lecturing and tutoring at different educational institutions.
Recently at the University of Trondheim, NTNU, Department of Architectural Design, form and color, and at the University of Agder, Art department, in the field of site specific art. She`s currently involved as an Educational Curator at The Norwegian National Museum of Art, Architecture, Department of Touring Exhibitions.

EDUCATION
2010 – 2012 Master of Fine arts (NTNU).
