“Art Meets Radical Openness” and the “Research.radical-openness” are projects initiated by servus.at.<\/p>\n

servus.at<\/strong><\/a> is a cultural network-based initiative in Linz, Austria. In running its own technical infrastructure, servus.at offers virtual and physical access opportunities for artists and cultural producers. One of the main objectives of servus.at is to implement the ideas of a “free society” in a daily practice of cultural and artistic production dealing with technology and to develop a network of trust.<\/p>\n

WURZELN
\nSeit 1996 betreibt servus.at einen Internetknoten, der \u00fcber das \u00f6sterreichische Wissenschaftsnetz (ACOnet) an das weltweite Datennetz angebunden ist. In Form einer Mitgliedschaft beteiligen sich lokale und internationale K\u00fcnstler_innen, Kulturschaffende, Hacktivist_innen, Open Source Software Entwickler_innen und Aktivist_innen am Bestehen des Vereins.<\/p>\n

MISSION
\nUnsere Mission ist die praktische und k\u00fcnstlerische Forschung an zentralen Fragen der Informationsgesellschaft und die taktische Vermittlung von gesellschaftspolitischen Implikationen im Umgang mit Technologie.<\/p>\n
