During the residency in Cyprus, I continued working on the topic of digital Greenwashing, using the time in Nicosia to deepen specific sections of the presentation initiated with Antonio Zingaro at RIXC festival.
As part of the summer program 2019 “Platform: A Climate Challenge”, servus.at’s research lab 2019 has been invited by the Visual Artist Association of Nicosia (Cyprus) to do a research residence in their atelier / gallery named “Phytorio”.
Antonio Zingaro, Julia Nüsslein, Christina Gruber and Davide Bevilacqua have been thinking about “old” and “new” ecosystems and the effects of Internet technologies during the preparations for the Research Lab 2019.
We produced a first article summarizing some of the topics that are spinning around: digital ecosystems vs biological ones, greenwashing on the internet, green energy, smart grids, big players, marketing campaigns, distopia …
